Here are a few videos that I find interesting and would like you to critique. Please watch them and provide an insightful response to what you see and hear.
Is this something that you like? Do you think this is the way music is headed in the future? These are just a couple questions that may guide your response.
Not my kind of music, but I think its pretty cool, because its a ton of voices all together. It sounds cool as well, but still not kind of music. If I hope music does not become like this all the time in the future, because if all music was like this there would be no unique-ness when it comes to music. Over all I think its nice.
tHIS IS COOL BECAUSE THEY GOT ALL THESE PEOPLE TO SING FROM tHERE HOMES AND ALL BE APART OF AN VIRTUAL CHOIR. All THE GUY DOSE IS STAND THERE AND COMPOSE. sO ALL THESE PEOPLE CAME TOGETHER AND STARTED SINGING.
I think this is a good type of music but I probably would not listen to it in my spare time. Also it is pretty good because all those voices combined make a very cool sound and it was a very good idea and I also like how it is unique. This is my opinion on the virtual choir music.
I think its a good idea but they should use better songs because not many people enjoy listening to choir music. imagine how cool it would be if 150 people sang a song by eminem or the beatles or even acdc. really cool though
I find this music so deep and soothing, it's like it clenses the soul. I love this type of music, I could fall asleep to it. I think that the Virtual Chior has some very talented young singers in it. I admire Eric Whitacre for putting together this chior. I'm sure that it has inspired many people of all ages to come and join into the art of music. This is totally my type of music, and i wouldn't mind listening to it again. If all music came like this in the future, I'm pretty sure it would dissapiont alot of people. I deffenetly love this type of music. To be honest... I love to meditate, it's a way to find myself. I think that this would be the perfect music to meditate to. All these vioces just fit perfectly together, it really does create a beautiful symphony. This music is truly a wark of art.
Phenomenal! I think it's absolutley amazing! The idea of mashing together voices from all over the world, to make one song, it's amazing! I think this idea was brilliant! Normally, I wouldn't hesitate to skip this kind of music if it ever came on the radio, but just the fact that there many voices and people singing on one track, and these people don't even know eachother, or that they even exsist, and these people are coming together to form one choir is plain fantastic! I'm a fan!
I enjoyed these videos. It reminds me of something very mystical--something that would play in "Final Fantasy," which is a... fantasy game. Their voices sound almost like a string-instrument choir. Their voices seem compatible together. I like the idea of having many people from around the world expirement singing with people they don't know. It gives a wider varitey of voices when people team together and make something beautiful. Their voices are in sync which is hard to master. My sister and I actually have made videos with maybe 4 or 5 other people over in America. We play intruments over each other so that they blend smoothly. I usually sing and my sister plays guitar. We Skype/Tinychat with others and agree with a song and figure out how to play it.
the video was a good idea because it shows everybodys diffrent. So people could sing with other people even though they sing a diffrent song or they sing a diffrent way. It also gives people a chance to showcase there talent by not even being in the same country By: Nick :)
I agree with what Jarrod said. It's not something I'd usually listen to but I absolutely love the idea. The videos show people of all ages from elderly to adoulencents and I think it is sweet that this is possible. Again the fact that all these people can get together and sing without having to leave the comfort of their own home is a nice idea. In the future I think something like this could expand into a big thing and people could use it to sing many different kinds of music.
I dont really like this kind of music, but it is very interesting because you dont hear this every day. All the voices are all playing at the same time and it sounds very cool at least to me it does. The music to me sounds just like very high pich voices and not any words added to it. Eric Whitacre lets people show there voices to the world with out any one making fun of the to there faces. GOOD JOB to all the people in the video.
I think it is pretty cool that this guy came up with a idea to make a online choir for people that don't have to go out to a place to sing they can sing with this guy instead.

These video's are really cool. I think that the virtual choir is a good idea. The singers sound amazing, their voices sound perfect together. I love the songs they sing. It reminds me of like old church music that they used to use a long time ago. It is soothing and sounds beautiful. This is an amazing way for people of all ages to be able to put their talent to somehting special. I like the music. It isn't something I would listen to everyday but I like the sound of it. My favourite part of the whole 'Virtual choir' is the way they use the videos of the people sining and make it into one big video. I also like the way they sound together. Also, I like the way they can all come together and sing together. If this kind of music is our new future music I wouldn't mind. It sounds pretty and is soothing. I think that they should keep sionging and making these video's. I would watch more.
I really enjoyed watching these videos and all the different effects. I’m not a huge fan of the type of music, but I thunk the idea was cool of all the different people coming together to sing. Everyone was at there own homes, but they all came together as one. You don’t really see that kinda of thing everyday, everyone likes to keep to there selves and not work together, unless there’s something in it for them. These videos were really sweet, and I hope people do it more often.

I liked the entire idea of the video people from all over the world singing together. Its amazing how sweet it sounds. The part about the idea I like the most is the part that you can meet pepole over the web. They could come from the other side of the world! But the thing i dont like about this idea is...... well its not my type of music its cool but not my type ;3

I think that music really can connect and can bring people togeather because people love and enjoy singing and the people who were singing seemed so happy when they are doing what they love. And I am proud of them because they have the guts to go and sing on the internet and their not afraid to show who they are and what they can do. overall GREAT JOB!
This is a cool song. The Blond girl at the beginning made me think of sirens and how they would sing like the virtual choir and lure sailors to their death. I wouldn’t listen to this music all the time because it creeps me out a little bit. I don’t know why it creeps me out it just does. I think it was cool how Eric took the time to edit this together and ask all the people to sing for this. I know I would not be able to make something like this, even if I tried really hard. Eric is really talented.
Well , I think that this is very insperational and it shows that when people come together we can do some pretty amazing things. I really like this video because it is an amazing idea. Like most people who commented... it's not really something that i would listen to, i have never even herd of him or his music before but it was very interesting and very insperational ^^^^ it made my day :D
I think it was a great idea that Eric Whitacre came up with unique idea of a online choir. All it takes is one person to come up with a great idea. All the voices together make a good flowing sound. In my opion this should not head into the future because I don't think alot would enjoy it. Because I cannot see people listeing to choir music on the radio.
This music is really great and sounds wonderful, so many people at one time making a wonderfulsong. It's music I would listen to when I'm feeling down or lonely. It's hard to describe how great it was because it's hard to put in words. This music has inspired me to make my own music now. Hope he makes more... AUSTIN aka WWC1 and TT1

They must of been brave to attempt at something that seems so difficult to sing, but they were really good in the end. I really like the idea that people from all over the world can sing by themselves at the time, but then be part of such a bigger, more meaningful project later. It's definetly not something you see everyday. When I was looking at some of the pictures in the videos, I noticed that the people really range in age, which showed, again, how people so different can sound so beautiful together. Overall, I think that these people sound great. I don't think all music will be like this in the future, but I do believe that a lot more people will attemt at this kind of idea.
really enjoyed watching theses videos. The music was not bad I wouldn’t think of listening to it everyday, tough it did have a peaceful effect. The virtual chore I think is a great idea it lets kids have there voice heard by thousands of people. I agree with Megan you don’t see this kind of stuff everyday like how all of them our at home in different parts of the world and still come together as one. That shows that you can do anything if you believe it is possible. That man who created this got inspired by a girl will I think because of what he did he inspired many people all over the world to be heard and sing. He should be very proud of himself.
